- Well, while I am excited about my rental and looking forward to my partnership with Public Storage; I did experience something that bothered me somewhat. Upon my second time at the storage after purchase, I arrived near closing time with some of my stuff. I was arranging my belongings when the front desk worker come to my unit telling me to hurry since it was close to closing. I apologized thoroughly to her and quickly locked up. The next time when I went to the unit, there was an extra lock on my door. I went to find out what was going on only to have the manager tell me that the other front desk person told her that I was hanging around lingering in my unit. That I had my shoes off lounging and was trying to cause her to be late. I was shocked because she told me that as a manager, she can put a lock on any door at anytime whenever and for whatever she wants. I also thought that the situation was not blown up as much, but I feel that I wasn't lounging around and my shoes were off because of walking to the Public Storage facility and I had seen a roach crawl in the until. I didnt sign up for bugs.

- It’s out in the open—which is exactly why I chose this place. Storing your grandmother’s furs, 24k gold forks, or your Fabergé egg collection? maybe try “Château de Climate-Controlled Coddling” or whatever. But if you’re like me and just need reliable, clean, affordable storage without the drama, this is it. Fast, great customer service, everything was smooth. I loved it. This is my honest review, no fluff.

- This was my first time renting a storage space and I wanted to look at the sizes Elise was irritated did not want to show me anything told me she had to help another customer and just put me aside so I left and I was able to get a call the next day from Dominique from another facility and right up the street because she was helping out she gave me excellent customer service I wished I could have rented from her facility but it was more convenient to stay at the mission Street facility but again I don't know how you allow a employee to be so rude to the customers and I'm not the only one I spoke to some other people that were there complaining so you should either have a talk with her maybe she's only nice to certain people cuz I did see her trying to talking talking to a man and she was nicer than she was to me I was appalled I came home told my husband he was ready to call the facility and do what I don't know but I I was stunned by her behavior thank you for your time

Finding and renting self-storage facilities in San Francisco, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving storage facilities throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in San Francisco, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.
Are there free storage deals in San Francisco, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in San Francisco?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
