- My move in to my unit was super smooth, the agents were super friendly and helpful and made everything easy and fast. Plus, they have a truck you can use for free to bring your belongings, so it was really convenient and I didnテ「竄ャ邃「t have to rent one.
Overall, I am super amazed with everything, especially with the low rate and the service was perfect. I recommend 100%.

- I am not a big fan of the "William Warren Way" of corporate management of storage facilities... I have three other large lockers at another location and can see the difference in the way the facilities are managed... The thing that has kept me at Storquest is the people "on the ground" who do a terrific job working their way through the corporate structure and personalizing the relationship... Through many personnel changes over the years there have been high caliber people on site that are able to maintain a standard to offset the seemingly questionable rent increases and dysfunction of the phone and computer system... Without them I would have left Storquest a long time ago...

- Everything seems great except after reading some reviews that rental fees may be raised which caused some people to be upset, I hope this won't happen in this terrible economic times; Otherwise I'd have to vacate when that happens!

- They were not opened at advertised time so I waited outside with movers & a truck for 20 minutes past 'open hours'. Once opened there was no-one around to unlock the trolleys which had been advertised as 'always available' for use. The Public Storgae padlock was supposed to be removed (I confirmed this multiple times) and it wasnt so once I eventually got into the building I could not access my unit. Again, nobody was immediately available to help. If I didnt have a flight soon I would have gone to another place and cancelled my contract. Terrible.

- I've rented here off and on over the past 20 years. The rent on units is reasonable and lower than other places nearby. The freight elevator is probably over 100 years old, but always works. It is manual and takes practice to get the floor of the elevator even with the building floor you select.
There is no last months rent or other deposit like some other places. The manager and staff are friendly and very helpful.

- I was looking for a small storage unit to keep things in for a while. The extra space storage had the best location, price and wide selection of options. You could have an outside drive up or inside climate controlled unit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recomend this facility for your storage needs.

- While the location is less than perfect overall if, like me, you are without a car, the pricing cannot be beat! I was renting a smaller unit at a (slightly) more convenient place, but was paying almost twice as much! The savings alone makes up for the time to get there by bus. Otherwise, the customer service was wonderful - Both Melissa and Jordan made me feel welcome and valued as a customer . . . Which is an all-important factor to me.

- I appreciated the courteous service at the front desk. Checking in and moving in starting on literally one day notice was great! The unit was spacious and convenient to my other much older unit. There is a connecting hallway conveniently giving me access to a moving cart. Great experience. Thank you.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Mill Valley, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Mill Valley, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Mill Valley, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Mill Valley?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Facilities near neighborhoods like Tam Valley and Strawberry Village are convenient because they’re close to homes and businesses. These spots are popular, so it’s smart to book early. For cheaper options, check out units near Tamalpais Junction or on the edges of Corte Madera, where prices are lower and availability is better.
Portable mini-storage units are a flexible choice for storing personal items, seasonal goods, or small furniture. They can be delivered to homes in areas like Tamalpais Valley or Homestead Valley, offering convenient on-site storage. This is especially helpful for homeowners doing renovations or needing short-term storage.
Facilities along Shoreline Highway (Highway 1) work well for bulky items like kayaks, bicycles, or camping gear. With so many outdoor enthusiasts nearby, these facilities often provide features like strong shelves, climate control, and 24/7 access for easy gear pickup. Some locations even offer extras like parking for trailers or are close to popular spots like Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, making storage and access easier.
