What made this 5 stars was the customer service. Jenyfer (spelling?) was incredibly helpful all day, despite being extremely busy with many other customers. She managed the work load well and always went the extra mile to make a stressful move go smoothly for me. The move-in appointment was also on time, which is surprising given the number of walk-in customers. The prices here were a bit cheaper than other locations. Yes, it's a little old and outdated but you're not living there :) It seemed like a secure location and she gave me tips to make it more secure.

The facility where I'm currently renting the unit has limited hours. I work full time and I need to be able to get in and out of my unit as I please. Having to work with a 9-6 schedule Monday-Friday and a 9-5 schedule on the weekends is crap. I realize that San Francisco has limited space and limited options for storage, but there needs to be a better way for your customers to access their units at a convenient time for them.

Really like being inside--our previous unit at another company was outside and always dirty. HOWEVER, while I was moving in, I went past the 5pm closing. No announcement was made, no one every came around to tell me about the closing time, and, when I went back to our truck for another load, I couldn't get back in. I ran to the office, 5:01pm to be exact, and no one was around. Then I couldn't get back in the parking lot to get my truck... I climbed over the fence, repacked our belongings and left. Our storage unit was left open all night with our belongings exposed and the key to the unit on the floor. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE...

I recomend this storage place to everyone. The girl at the front desk is awesome. The storage place is good value for your money. I recomend getting the storage online first. It is a few dollars cheaper than a walk in. The facility is clean and easy to get to. The thing I dont like is the hours. I use this frequently as I use it as an extended closet. I would like to see later hours, maybe until 10pm. Another is that above unit b162 there has been a dead light. I've notified them to get it checked. After a few weeks its still dead. Im an electrician by trade so I looked into it cause it hasn't been fixed. I found that the ballast is bad. Ive notified them to replace it but its still been down for a month. Like I mentioned i use this place frequently, I'd like to have this light fixed.

I’ll tell you what frustrates me and makes me give this place a mediocre rating. The facility is fine however that little office on site has no one in it. The lights on and no one‘s there. When you sign up for a space, they provide you a lock and charge you $50. You can return it but there’s no one to open the door and take the lock back and give you a refund. It’s nearly impossible. I want a refund on my lock because I have a lock of my own. This is an issue

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in San Francisco, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs.

The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in San Francisco, California.

  • Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.

  • For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.

  • Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.

  • Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.

  • Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.

  • The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.

  • Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
  • Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.

  • Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.

  • Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.

  • Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
