Why Trust Movers Corp

Movers Corp has been around since 2012. Thousands of consumers around the country used the company's moving and storage services. This is how our team establishes a trusting relationship with our customers.

Local moving companies provide quotes based on an hourly rate, and some quote a flat rate based on the size of your move. These types of moving quotes are reasonable, but they also depend on a few variables.
Moving Quotes

Moving day is here, but your helpers have backed out. If you’re stuck without labor, stay calm and focus on finding help fast. Hiring labor-only movers is one option. They handle loading or unloading trucks and often bring tools like dollies or lifting straps. Many can be booked through apps that handle short-notice requests.

Another option is hiring day laborers from verified local staffing centers. This route often costs less, but workers may not bring equipment or have moving experience, so make sure they fit your needs. Confirm whether the workers are insured or bonded through the company or service. Before hiring anyone, check ratings, confirm pricing details, and ask if they bring their own tools.
Professional Movers vs Day Laborers

Most moving companies fall into two groups: small local movers and large national companies. Each option has different strengths and trade-offs that affect cost, scheduling, and service style. The right choice depends on the size of your move, your timeline, and the level of flexibility you want. Understanding these differences helps you avoid choosing a company that does not fit your move.
Small Movers vs. Big Companies

When an employee relocates for a new career, most often the new employer compensates for the moving costs as an employee benefit.
Employee Moving Expenses

A structured packing plan reduces stress and disorganization by dividing the job into manageable steps. Zone packing, where each room is packed separately and labeled by priority, helps movers load efficiently and lowers the risk of damage. This method also keeps essentials from getting packed in the wrong box, so you have more control over unpacking and feel less stressed on moving day.
Four Weeks Moving Plan

What to do if your property is damaged during a move. This guide will walk you through the process of filing a claim for items damaged by movers.

Both managers I have met, Karen and Esther, were very friendly and efficient. They took time to explain things to me and helped wherever they could. Thank you ladies for a great welcome to my first-ever storage. The on-boarding was simple and fast, the facility seems secure, and the storage space is dry and safe.

I am a single woman in my early 20テ「竄ャ邃「s renting a unit at this facility. My unit is indoors on the second floor of a long, mostly unlit hallway. I often drop off my items alone and expected a certain level of security which was not present. Upon arriving to my unit this past Monday evening, there were no cars in the facility but mine. I loaded my things into the lift to transfer to my unit and my biggest fear came to life. There was a tall, middle aged white man lurking in the long hallway as I entered the second floor of the building. He immediately began to slowly approach me, asking me if I wanted to see the jewelry and accessories he had in his unit. When I said no thank you, he continued to approach. I ran of out the building, leaving all of my things in the lift. I waited in my car for another customer to drive up and was lucky enough to encounter a kind man who escorted me to my unit to protect me from the man in the hallway. He continued to try to offer me things and approach even with the escort. It became obvious as we walked past his unit that he was living there or using it as a partial living space. I was able to finish my load but am dreading having to return. Extra space has NO 24 hour security, NO security phone number to call after hours, and obviously NO regulations over what someone can use the space for. There should not be a man living in a unit in the building, especially not one who is a threat to the safety and security of customers, especially other young women like myself. INCREDIBLY disappointed with this facility.

They were not opened at advertised time so I waited outside with movers & a truck for 20 minutes past 'open hours'. Once opened there was no-one around to unlock the trolleys which had been advertised as 'always available' for use. The Public Storgae padlock was supposed to be removed (I confirmed this multiple times) and it wasnt so once I eventually got into the building I could not access my unit. Again, nobody was immediately available to help. If I didnt have a flight soon I would have gone to another place and cancelled my contract. Terrible.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Berkeley, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs.

The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Berkeley, California.

  • Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.

  • For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.

  • Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.

  • Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.

  • Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.

  • The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.

  • Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
  • Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.

  • Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.

  • Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.

  • Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.

Are there free storage deals in Berkeley, California?

Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.

How do I find the cheapest storage in Berkeley?

You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
