- I was looking for a cheap storage alternative to storing in my home. We have very few items fitting in a 5x5 unit with more than enough space for other things. Your company was one of the first I saw, so I went with your smallest option, the aforementioned 5x5 unit, which was more than enough room (after being asked multiple times to take a larger unit) . I believe it was around $50 which was good for the few things we were storing. Upon completing sign up, I was then told about all the other fees, service fee, lock fee, insurance fee, among others. When all was said an done, I ended up paying over $80 for a $50 storage unit, and now that storage unit is now increased by $15 per month due to your "insurance" that is mandatory. It's baffling to me that the cost of your mandatory insurance is about 1/3 the cost of the unit itself. But either way, I was moving, needed a quick alternative, and I had already arrived at your facility with all of my belongings to be stored. Now that I am all settled in, I will be moving my storage needs to another company that doesn't seem so dead set on taking every penny that they can get.

When I went in to do the paperwork, they added an additional $12 to the original price because it is a “smart unit.” It is still a good value but would have liked to know the actual total before reserving. The facility and unit itself are nice, and I was set up with a unit on the first floor by the loading dock, which is super handy. The staff were very nice and helpful so I feel at ease having my stuff stored here.
