I loved going to the Pubic Storage on Mission Blvd. They were friendly and the manager helped me when determining which size unit to get. Most business people would try to sell you the most expensive one, but he actually just cared about which one was reasonably priced and coud fit all my stuff. He also recommend how i pack my things both in boxed and in the storage unit. Judt great service!

I just love the manager Shivawn, she is great, the location is great, the access hours are great and it's safe. The only negative thing I can think of is the rent increases. AND I GUARANTEE the rent has nothing to do with her. If she had a say in it I know no body would ever leave. If I could I would give more than 5 stars :-) **********

I have used this storage facility for about 6 years. During that time I have had quite a few near misses when I could have lost everything I had fought to save. The attendant has always been supportive and kind. In the end I realized that things are just that, things. The most important items that I had stored were my family photos and personal paperwork. When my lot was going to lie n sale, they allowed me to get my most precious items, my memories. Thank you for being more than a business. With sincere gratitude, Cynthia

I needed a storage unit, and this was one of the best prices for a climate-controlled unit in the area. Great highway access, easy in and out. Clean, dry facility. Staff called within 10 minutes of online purchase to confirm move-in details. Lock was waiting when I arrived, and they use the more secure cylindrical locking style that are harder to cut/break. Good value.

We rented in advance online and spoke to location management afterward to confirm all details. We needed to get our stuff into the unit on a Sunday evening and quickly move on. However, when we arrived, our unit had a padlock on it, and we couldn't get in.There was no one on site, so we called Cubesmart customer service. In relatively short order we were assigned a different unit, and things went smoothly from there. But it was a little scary for a few minutes when we were unable to access our unit and unsure of how things would unfold.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Union City, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs.

The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Union City, California.

  • Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.

  • For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.

  • Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.

  • Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.

  • Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.

  • The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.

  • Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
  • Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.

  • Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.

  • Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.

  • Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
