- I really liked how easy and straightforward the reserving and registering was online, the day before I even got back into town. The staff are helpful and thorough as well. Honestly, it was one of the smoothest moves I've ever made.

- I've had my 10x25 unit for 5-6 years now. Cleanliness, security and overall appeal were major factors in my decision to go with the previous owners. Rent increases were expected and reasonable over time. When the changeover to Prime was announced, I was fine with that. In fact, I commented to the office person AND Prime corporate person who was on-site, that I was happy the rents remained unchanged.
Imagine then, my surprise to receive an email notification of $43 mo/$516 annual increase. Moreso, the gut-punch presence of large 'AFFORDABLE' hanging signs visible everywhere as I drove to the unit that same day. Suddenly, my unit became re-valued as 'prime (or Prime!) real estate, deemed worthy of a $43 monthly increase because of it's 'convenient location' near the entrance. That makes it no longer ordinary, nor affordable (to me.) Now, maybe this is standard practice in the corporate business of rentals, but it was a sobering reminder that, despite all the 'blah blah' about being happy to serve MY storage needs, Prime is still in it for their profit. Okay, I accept my part in becoming complacent over time about paying more for storing 'stuff' of less value. But, now paying for storage is no longer a necessary convenience, it's a 'Prime' dinner table topic with a sour taste. My 'YES' recommendation is conditional, with a 'buyer beware' heads-up to others that even in the world of storage unit real estate, one will pay for the 'drive-up view'.

- Mike checked me in. He was absolutely great! Explained everything, no hidden costs, no hidden rules, and he made the whole experience a pleasure. We walked out to the yard and he showed me the unit just to make sure it worked for me (it did). Then we went back to the office where he went through the paperwork and explained why they needed certain information. He was clear and straightforward. I like and respect that. Also, when I first got there I parked in the wrong place. Mike didn't give me a hard time about it, he just pointed out that the truck was in a bad spot and showed me where to go. Lastly, the unit was clean and the roll-up worked properly. Great place. Oh yes, they allowed me to pay month to month with no promise of how long I would be there.

Finding and renting self-storage facilities in Santa Rosa, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving storage facilities throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Santa Rosa, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.
Are there free storage deals in Santa Rosa, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Santa Rosa?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
