- I did not remember that my unit's pay was due on the 3rd of every month as they just charge my credit card. I moved out on the 10th of May because I got a letter stating it was going up by $20.00 and I will not pay $75.00 a month for a 5x5 space.
Talked to the manager and she was very flippant and noncaring, saying I had to pay a full month's rent for just 7 days. I had also called 3 different numbers and no one ever answered the phone and they never returned any of my messages. This is not the way to treat people.
If you rent from them make sure you remember exactly what day it is due or you will be paying for an extra month you did not use. I say go somewhere else.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Minneola, Florida is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Florida, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Minneola, Florida.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Minneola, Florida?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Minneola?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Minneola is located in eastern Lake County along the southern edge of the Green Swamp Ridge, which places the city at a higher elevation than many nearby communities. This higher elevation reduces localized flood risk compared to lower-lying areas near Lake Apopka and often affects where storage development is allowed. Residential growth in Minneola has increased steadily due to its proximity to Clermont and commuter access to Orlando, which supports steady storage demand. These geographic and growth patterns affect unit availability and pricing stability across the city.
Minneola’s western neighborhoods near US Route 27 experience heavier traffic during commuter hours, which can limit access to storage locations at peak times. Storage areas closer to the city’s eastern residential zones often face less congestion because there are fewer commercial corridors. Land availability is limited by surrounding conservation areas and lakes, which restrict new development and can keep prices higher than in more industrialized cities. These constraints often push lower-priced units farther from residential areas.
Minneola experiences long warm seasons, with summer temperatures often exceeding 90°F. Prolonged heat can damage items that react poorly to temperature changes. High humidity worsens these conditions, especially during the rainy season from June through September. These environmental conditions influence which storage unit types renters choose across the city.
Residents renting near Hillside Villas or Quail Valley should expect faster rate increases in newer developments, driven by ongoing demand in these areas. Facilities closer to US-27 and Citrus Tower Blvd may offer promotional rates, but prices often rise within a few months because of high turnover tied to nearby residential growth.
Storage renters near the Minneola Interchange or east of Turnpike access should ask whether a facility falls within Lake County’s storm-prone zones, since this can affect insurance coverage. Some facilities require separate weather-related riders based on the exact location.
If you are considering a unit near East Washington Street or in the Greater Pines area, climate-controlled storage is more common because of higher traffic from Clermont and increased heat exposure from limited tree coverage.
