- My overall experience for renting a storage unit at Public Storage went very well. Pretty much everything was explained to me up front but the only reason I will not give this rating 5 stars is because I was told that management reserves the right to raise the rent every 6 months! Wow! I enjoy going to the storage unit and filling it up with some of my lifetime belongings and feel very strongly that they will be stored safely at Public Storage! I chose the Simpson Road Public Storage in Kissimmee, FL because I got a great price on a 10x15 unit. It's a little farther to drive from where I live but it is worth it. I sit here and wonder if I leave my belongings here at Public Storage for several years, how much will the rent have gone up by then? Maybe $10 a month? Maybe $25 a month? The reason I am renting here is because I got a great price. I hope it stays that way for a while anyway. Thanks

- I called and the manager Lydia was fantastic! She always kept her word, was kind and made my move as simple as possible. I visited a storage competitor and the same unit size was small compared to Public Storage. Public Storage was exact in size!

- New ownership and for past year, not as clean as previous. Trash left in the drive, dog poop and dog pee inside the building on multiple occasions. Cannot locate carts to move items or worse yet, get through the drive because cars and uhauls block the single loading/unloading area; especially on weekends. Most importantly, when I asked how often my rate will increase (during the last huge increase), I was lied to and my rate will increase again. What bother me is that I asked if I could pay a year in full at a discount and was told that no such offer exists and when I asked why my rate is increasing again, was informed that a discount is available to those that want to pre-pay one year.
