- The facilities are very well organized and clean. As mentioned, the price is also fair. My only issue was the customer service. I came in one day to find the office was unexpectedly closed. Several other times I've gone, no one was at the desk. I am usually able to reach someone on the phone, but that isn't always as helpful as in-person. It seems like they only have one person managing the whole property.

- Lynette was very helpful and answered all of my questions! Itテ「竄ャ邃「s my first time using a storage unit and she was very patient with me. The facility is very clean and love that it is gated. I also like that there isnテ「竄ャ邃「t a commitment to how long you have to keep the unit for.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Lavon, Texas is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Texas, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Lavon, Texas.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Lavon, Texas?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Lavon?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Parts of Lavon fall within the Lavon Lake watershed, which leads to higher humidity than areas farther west in the county. Summer humidity often exceeds 65%, especially from June through September, based on regional climate records. This condition is a location-specific factor residents consider when storing household goods near the lake. The effect is stronger in neighborhoods closer to the shoreline and at lower elevations.
Facilities near Lavon Lake or along SH-78 often have higher rates because they are convenient, scenic, and close to activities like boating, fishing, and hiking. These spots attract tourists and residents looking for outdoor fun, which increases demand and prices.
Facilities in smaller towns like Copeville or Josephine are often more affordable. These areas, farther from busy traffic hubs, cater to locals and provide a quieter atmosphere, making availability less competitive. Businesses in these towns may also offer seasonal discounts or loyalty programs to draw in nearby customers.
Developments like Grand Heritage in Lavon or neighborhoods in Nevada influence the local market. Being close to these growing communities raises demand for storage, parking, and rentals, which affects prices. For those willing to drive a bit farther, areas east of Nevada or south toward Royse City may have cheaper options without losing convenience.
