- I checked with four other rental sites prior to renting with Public Storage. While the other sites were nice they were more expensive and not as close to me. In addition, one site said check our heated units, and when I talked to the fill in manager, he did not if they even had any at this location. The public storage agent I rented with was nice, and concerned with showing me the unit I rented, She even called me after I had put some items in storage and said I had not locked my unit, how many managers check the locks. I was very happy she called me.

- I wish there was a Maybe option for recommending this facility to a friend. The staff is helpful and does there best with what they have to work with. So there are pro's mainly around staff.
However, the facility seems to always have issues. The entry door often breaks and doesn't allow entry without management coming to assist and have it fixed again.
The elevators seem to always have issue and one has been down for quite some time. This makes me wonder about getting stuck inside.
The parking is horrible. If you are lucky to get one out of the three spaces available for loading and unloading then its ok. I have went for a quick drop off to find 13 different cars packed into 3 slots, parked over top each other, and down fire lanes. Kudos to management out there maybe trying to help. They recently put islands in the busy street out front and you have to drive far out of the way if coming from wrong direction just to get into lot.
The facility itself is clean and management does its best to keep people living out of lockers to a minimum. They generally come after office closes or on weekend. So there are a lot of positives, just functionally difficult to deal with and have to have a lot of patience. Most people are friendly, but some are just angry and no patience like rest of world so come prepared.
I really wish there was a indoor facility in Gresham

- Dale & the crew were right there smiling and waving as I walked in. Felt 👠good. Inside units were so clean! Loved the elevator AND the dollies. I was in and out from loading so quickly because of those helpful carts they have available. My only complaint is storage company prices... it's really hard on many homes budgets but we have to do it because of a move. Luckily, Extra Space storage has some great online promos.

We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Oregon, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Sandy, Oregon.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Sandy, Oregon?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Sandy?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Several storage facilities in Sandy are located near Highway 26. This area offers convenient access for residents who commute between downtown and Mount Hood Village. If you live in Cherryville or Firwood, using a facility near Proctor Boulevard can save significant travel time.
Facilities along Bluff Road and Ten Eyck Road often have higher demand because they are close to neighborhoods and downtown Sandy. These locations often have better security and lighting, but they usually cost more than units located farther east.
Sandy’s cold, wet winters and hot, dry summers make climate-controlled units ideal for storing wooden furniture, electronics, and important documents. Temperature-controlled units help protect items from seasonal humidity changes that are common in Clackamas County.
Residents near Sandy High School or Meinig Memorial Park may prefer indoor units, which protect against frequent rain and are often in well-lit buildings that improve security at night.
