- We are happy to find a storage unit so close to our house. The woman at the front is very nice and made it super easy to get set up with our unit. The storage area inside is very clean. There are some issues to be aware of though. We have been there twice now and both times there has been people parked there for a long time. Often it does not seem they need to be there that long but they are hanging out there and meeting other people to chat. We went there yesterday and there was someone there who had left his truck in one of the parking spaces ( there are not very many) and then went over to visit with someone in their car who had been in the storage unit and was parked in the fire lane. The first time we came there after setting up our account there were three people unloading a huge amount of bike frames, tires, wheels, etc. of both adult and childrens bikes. Most of these were taken apart. The guy kept saying that they were donated to them. Of course our first suspicion was that these were stolen bikes that had been taken apart so they could not be identified and that they are storing them there to hide them and possibly put together in the storage unit to resell. I suspected that we would have people with suspicious behaviors at this location because of the neighborhood. We were hesitant to rent here because of this issue. We do not feel like we can trust many of the people that frequent this storage area so we always make sure our car is locked and never leave anything unattended. We hope that security is keeping a good eye out for people loitering, staying in the parking places too long, and any suspicious behavior inside and outside the storage spaces.

- A little more spendy then I was originally led to believe but its clean. I pay $63 total a month for a 5x10. I just wish the access hours were longer they close at 6 so its kind of hard to make it before closing if you work a 9-5.

- Like everywhere on the E Side of Portland every storage facility is surrounded by homeless camps and RVs. So there is always a concern for security, but its gated and barb wired so hopefully all will be good.

- Since Public Storage bought this facility from Extra Space storage, I've had nothing but problems with them. During the transition, I couldn't even access my unit for several days, a few months later they raised the rent, then without notice you had to start checking out carts, now the access hours have changed so I can't even stop by my unit after my normal work hours. Ridiculous.

- Terrific site manager--Avi-- and clean and safe storage; prompt telephone response with information for specific units and generally was most helpful and reassuring during our move. She explained everything clearly, and assured we had what we needed to move in. My only wish was that we could have taken advantage of the unit sale going on--first month free-- as that is one reason we wanted to rent with Public Storage. Rating: 5 stars

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Boring, Oregon is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Oregon, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Boring, Oregon.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Boring, Oregon?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Boring?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
