- I have been renting a unit here for over 20 years, long before Prime Storage took over ownership. I was very pleased with the service prior to their management. Since they have taken over management the cost of my unit has jumped 42%- well over the consumer index. They have closed the office at my location, so for all issues requiring "human" involvement, I must travel 20 miles round trip... which would not be necessary if they would RETURN MESSAGES! In the last year, I made 6 phone calls to the number listed for local help. Each of the calls was rerouted to the "national" office, and I was unable to speak to a human during any of those 6 calls. I left complete, detailed messages regarding my issue(s)... AND NOT ONCE WAS MY CALL RETURNED (AT ALL, LEAST OF ALL IN A TIMELY MANNER). I was forced to call Prime Storage and leave repeated messages. And in two circumstances had to drive the 20 miles (and wait for the office person to get off the phone!) to get recognition of my problem (but no help!). The word SERVICE does not seem to be a part of the Prime Storage corporate ideology. I have other issues and complaints, delays in repair to my rental unit, inappropriate advice given by a customer seevice representative, ignoring requests for immediate help with a malfunctioning unit, but I will not go into details with these issues in this review.

- I had a very gentle and positive transition from my other storage space to storage sense. Everything that is right and exceptional about storage sense was missing from my previous storage experience. I am happier now!

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
Bethlehem Self Storage 117 Old Quarry Rd, Bethlehem, NY 12067 518-767-3212
Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Bethlehem, New York is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout New York, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Bethlehem, New York.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Bethlehem, New York?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Bethlehem?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Storage unit prices in Bethlehem vary based on location. Facilities near the busy Four Corners neighborhood or Bethlehem Central School District area usually cost more due to convenience and high demand. For those on a budget, looking in North Bethlehem or near Glenmont can offer better deals. These spots often combine easy access with lower costs, making them a good choice for occasional use.
For the lowest prices, check out storage units in less central areas like South Bethlehem or Selkirk. These places typically cater to long-term renters and offer discounts or seasonal promotions that can save you money. They often provide larger units for the same price as smaller ones in pricier areas.
If you need frequent access, location is key. Avoid facilities near high-traffic zones like Delaware Avenue or the US Route 9W corridor during peak hours, as congestion can slow you down. Instead, choose facilities with multiple entry points or alternate routes for quicker visits.
