- I had lost my storage unit 5 yrs ago with about 20 yrs of tools and equipment. So needless to say I was damaged goods, lol. It was not only the great price I was given but more than anything the staff. The manager I forget his name so we will call him Mexican dude and the other manager I forget her name but we’ll call her pretty white girl. So between the two of them they have made me feel welcomed and comfortable in this facility despite the trauma and loss I had gone through. Due to unforeseen circumstances caused by jealous ignorant idiots, I mean people I had to move out of my shop and no longer welcomed by some of my family. Since my work is located in the area I have set this location up as storage for my specialized tools as well as my prized hi-fi audio equipment. So thanks to this facility and it’s wonderful staff I am able to continue striving forward in hope that I may one day regain what I have lost due to these individuals that constantly harass me. Thank you mexican dude and white girl or should I say staff at extra space storage facility on south state college blvd., your kindness and hard work is greatly appreciated.

- First of all when I was showed where my unit was I was already parked in the front by the rental office side so I could get to my unit. Unfortunately, he directed me to the back of the facility. I said well I guess where I am at I could really go in on this side. It wasn't until I kept stating well I'm alread on this side, he finally said oh well the elevator broke yesterday & it should be fixed next week. I said why didn't you just say that in the first place. Secondly, if only 1 elevator is work for the ENTIRE WEEKEND, is there any reason the facility cannot fix it sooner? Then upon talking to tenants cuz everyone had to use the same elevator, it was learned that the elevator had been out for over 2 months. So please get it fixed this is unprofessional. I also asked the staff since it was broken is there was a reason why all the carts weren't in the back and he promptly said well we divided them between the two entrances. I said obviously since you only have one side open can you please bring all the carts to the backside, staff wanted to argue and then said, yeah when I can, I will bring them over. Sorry yet if we are paying for the facility to be up n running properly & you expect us to pay, I am speaking for everyone, we expect the facility to be in working condition so we can all use it. Aside from that it was clean, and my unit was clean as well. One little side note the numbers of the units on the wall by the elevator, were SOOOOOOO small no one could read them. Maybe make it more legible so everyone can read it so you can find your unit. I had friends helping & they tried to locate my unit and could not. Thank you and please please please repair the elevator ASAP

- So far so good - it was an easy process to rent online and set up with minimal to no contact needed with public storage outside of the web. For the price of $154 I do wish that maybe the unit would have been swept a little more before my move in. Also - the unit lock rebate is very misleading. The lock that you pay for (which is said to be refunded upon move in pending you bring your own lock) is a small janky circle key lock that is REQUIRED in order for your unit door to not have an open hole within the door. You can't not use that type of lock.
