- The storage facility to great. Really my only complaint would be the hours it's open for me to access my unit. I'm used to a place that is open 24/7 so it's just gonna take some getting used too. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Place is clean and well lit.

- Once you get used to the elevator floor numbering not matching the logical sequence of floor numbering you can easily navigate this facility. The code to open the building doors is good for security but a bit rough if you have your hands full. Usually it is only the first drop off or pick up of the day when you carry items into the building. Otherwise the carts take care of that issue. Temperatures are constant, personnel helpful. My only major concern is that it is not open additional hours to make it more convenient for those of us who work in locations not near the facility.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Triangle, Virginia is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Virginia, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Triangle, Virginia.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Triangle, Virginia?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Triangle?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
In Triangle, Virginia, many residents use storage because the town sits next to Marine Corps Base Quantico and draws daily commuters from Route 1 and I-95. This location raises demand for units near US-1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) and Dumfries Road. Because Triangle is close to Leesylvania State Park and the Occoquan and Potomac rivers, boating and fishing gear often needs storage during the off-season. During peak military PCS seasons, storage demand rises as service members move in and out of the area. Triangle’s location in Prince William County places it near major transportation corridors, so access from Interstate 95 and the Quantico VRE station matters to many renters.
In Triangle’s market, lower prices often appear at facilities farther from residential areas like Featherstone and Quantico Station, where Route 1 traffic and demand are lighter. Many local residents are military families whose storage needs change with deployments and base housing turnover, so price alone does not reflect availability or reliability. Seasonal weather along the Potomac makes units with weather protection especially important in this area.
Insurance costs in Triangle can vary based on distance from floodplains near the Occoquan and Potomac rivers, which some insurers consider when setting premiums. Military households stationed at Quantico may already have relocation coverage that applies to storage, which can affect their facility choice. Prince William County liability and flood zone rules can affect insurance costs, so renters benefit from checking them in advance.
If you place a portable storage unit at a Triangle residence, especially in areas like Graham Park Shores or Fuller Heights, Prince William County zoning codes limit where the container can sit and how long it can stay. Extended use on a driveway or curb may require a temporary zoning permit. Contact the Prince William County Zoning Administration Division at 703-792-6830 before delivery to confirm requirements and avoid citations.
