- I like this storage facility, clean and the staff was helpful, however there are two things that need improvement:
1. The elevator door when you are loading should not be on a timer, otherwise it will be on a timeout and it will disable the elevator. Staff should have control to help the clients.
2. The access doors to the first floor are too small, making the moving very hard, it must be changed.

- I moved from one storage company to CubeSmart in Gainesville. I couldn't leave my old unit unlocked while I made the several trips required, and Lynda at the desk loaned me a camlock to secure my larger, climate controlled unit until everything was moved over. She could have just sold me a new one. She was exceptionally helpful with the entire "check-in" process, including helping with the phone app! Cannot say enough GOOD THINGS about this company! FIRST RATE!!

- Hishito is very professional and helpful. During the initial appointment, I got to see what I was trying to rent and determined it wouldn't fit my needs. I upgraded to a 10x10 unit and am quite happy with the unit. I explained I was parking a motorcycle and folding motorcycle trailer in the unit and Hishito was very understanding. Overall, the pricing and the arrangement (for about 6 to 8 months) seems very reasonable.

- I went to two other places before I found you guys. I did not receive any help from the others, but as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a big smile. Brittany was so sweet and helpful. The unit was very clean and secure. I have already recommended your facility to friends.

- We ordered a 10 by 10 unit, and the onsite manager first took us to a unit that was 9.5 feet wide, but only eight feet deep! There was no way that space would fit my belongings. Fortunately, after expressing my displeasure, the manager took us to a unit that was the correct size. He said sizes at this facility are approximates. Similarly, prices that are listed don't include the mandatory purchase of insurance that costs an additional $12 to $50 per month, or the $22 admin fee. The contract also includes a clause that they can make you move all your stuff within 30 days for any reason they choose; I don't know if this is standard.

- All of my belongings are destroyed! I have never used a storage facility before but I downsized temporarily and needed to store some of my stuff. I go to start cleaning out the unit and all my things are covered in mouse droppings and I found two dead mice! Urine on everything, I was so sick and horrified I left! I will go back with gloves and mask and throw probably everything away! I am heart broken that I have spent so much money on this storage unit only to loose everything I had!

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Haymarket, Virginia is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Virginia, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Haymarket, Virginia.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Haymarket, Virginia?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Haymarket?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Storage availability and prices in Haymarket vary based on how close the units are to major intersections and residential areas. Units near James Madison Highway (Route 15) and Old Carolina Road work well for residents of Somerset Crossing and Dominion Valley. They also provide quick access for commuters using the I-66 corridor. These units are a smart choice for frequent travelers or anyone who needs regular access to storage.
Prices are highest near the busy commercial area around Route 55 (John Marshall Highway) and Route 15. These areas often have higher prices due to increased traffic and strong demand from nearby businesses and apartment residents. For lower prices, look at areas with less traffic, like Logmill Road or north of Antioch Road. Smaller facilities and rural zoning help keep costs down.
Climate-controlled storage is important in Haymarket because of seasonal humidity and winter frost. Storage units on Jefferson Street and Heathcote Boulevard often use climate control systems that protect wooden furniture, musical instruments, and important documents. These systems keep indoor temperatures between 55°F and 85°F and help prevent damage from moisture.
Facilities near Thoroughfare Road and Carver Road often serve seasonal renters, including horse owners, because they’re close to farms and riding centers. Some of these storage units include extra ventilation or reinforced floors to support heavy equipment.
