- I had my storage with Cubesmart (originally McLearen Storage) for a multiple years. During this time I went through a 21 month unemployment period. While having my storage in their facility, they switched my contract without my signature. The fees escalated. Continuously threatened auctioning off my storage (despite every effort to meet their financial demands and posted a fee of $110.00 auction fee, every time they threatened auction - which was about every month. In addition they added late fees which brought my price of my storage in extraordinary ranges. I was constantly looking for a means of obtaining a personal loan to keep them from auctioning the possessions of the two units. There unwillingness to work with me to keep the fees off and keep them out of auction status was almost a daily matter. Finally, on thursday Darren successful sold my possessions. I have tried to buy them them back from the purchaser, but Ginger, the purchaser escalated the cost and have confirmed that she would not sell them back to me for less - she has a thrift store in Manasses, VA. and left with the impression that this is how she stocks her store - "on other peoples misfortunes." It was only last week that I had personal loan out to meet their demands from last week. If you are thinking about using this facility or company (beware that they own many different store companies) I can only encourage you to think "long and hard". Their way of business should be considered criminal!!

- Extra space is your basic storage site with climate controlled units. Clean, but an issue with the elevator on move in day had me carrying boxes up stairs. Access is required for the main sliding doors, but not on the outside stairs doors which kind of defeats the purpose of restricting access.
