- Facility is not as up to date but the price is higher than other locations. Had a problem that prompted me to reach out to corporate. I should not have had to do this. The problem should have been promptly addressed without me needing to take corrective actions. There is no direct manager at this location. You can imagine my frustration trying to speak with someone in charge.

Starting with the effort the manager at Public Storage property number 21514, Ms. Bernadette, showed to accomodate my needs to the spaces available in her property to the cleanliness of the facility itself, my experience was positive. I would recommend Public Storage without reservation to any person seeking offsite storage space.

I MADE A RESERVATION ON LINE AND WHEN I WENT INTO THE OFFICE TO COMPLETE THE RENTAL THE MANAGER, I THINK HER NAME IS CYNTHIA WAS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, CONDESCENDING AND OVERALL HAD A REALLY NEGATIVE ENERGY. I HATE DEALING WITH SOMEONE THAT IS RUDE AND DISSRESPECTFUL, BUT I HATE IT MORE WHEN THE PERSON IS YOUNGER THAN ME AND SHOWS NO HOME TRAINING. FURTHERMORE, I'M SPENDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY! THAT LEADS ME TO ANOTHER POINT. THEY WENT UP ON MY RENT AFTER 60 DAYS AND SHE CLAIMED IT WAS DUE TO THE MARKET DEMAND OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. MY RENT ALMOST DOUBLED!! I FEEL LIKE THIS IS EITHER A BAIT AND SWITCH APPROACH TO RENTING THE UNITS OR MAYBE SHE IS BEING VENDICTIVE DUE TO THE FACT THAT I CALLED HER OUT ABOUT BEING RUDE!! I WOULD NOT RENT AT THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!!! THEY NEED TO HIRE A MORE SEASONED AND MATURE PERSON TO BE THE PROPERTY MANAGER.

- So far there have been good things and bad things about Public Storage. When I first set up my reservation, I got a call confirming my unit was reserved and I got the $1 first month promotional pricing. When I went to actually check in to my unit, they did not have it available, and also said they wouldn't honor that pricing at that location, despite having confirmed it via phone and email over a week prior. They instead transferred my reservation to a nearby facility. This one is actually much nicer than the first one. However, there was no mention of then requiring a certain level of homeowner/renter's insurance coverage, and required that I pay for their insurance. So instead of the $25 I was expecting to pay for my first month, it was over double that, including the price for their "custom locks". The unit itself is nice, climate controlled and inside. Since moving in, I've had issues with other customers blocking the loading areas and refusing to move until I went up from to ask management to intervene. I also got locked into the facility one night because the timer on their lobby doors is 15-20 minutes fast. A bit of a scary situation until we figured out how to work the emergency doors. Despite these inconveniences, the facility is secure and clean.

- On line process was easy. The facility is new and clean. The hours are limited, but that's understandable since the neighborhood is not the best. However, be aware of the extra charges that will be piled on. You have to have insurance, even if your goods aren't worth all that much. It's FAR too expensive and they won't let you get away with not having it. Second, they will force you to use their lock, even though they make it sound as if you can bring your own. Don't believe it!!!! I just vacated another storage unit from another company where I had this same lock for 5 years. Yet, it wasn't good enough for them. Just another way to hit you up for $20. Typical American customer service. The price being quoted is never the price you will end up paying. The workers are decent people, who are trying to cope with a management that forces theses policies onto the customers. I feel sorry for them.
