- WARNING: I rented a storage space from Storage Rentals of America (SROA) at the Greer SC facility in June 2020. Six months later I was notified on a postcard from SROA that my monthly rate was increasing 25%. This is legal per the standard SROA contract I signed, but clearly is unprincipled, and obviously a bait and switch tactic in my opinion. Local management when contacted and questioned said it is “out of their hands”, but rather the rates are set by SROA. Please beware of this tactic.

- By far the worst storage unit experience Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve ever had, and Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve had several. For my FIRST visit, my code didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t work for the gate when I arrived at the facility. I called the number on the building and before I could get someone on the phone, another customer rolled up and was nice enough to let us in. Customer service kept asking if I was at the right location, despite us BOTH confirming it multiple times. She argued with me about a temporary lock being on the door, and I eventually hung up because I was wasting time arguing with her rather than unpacking my things. When it was time I leave a called customer service again & after trying 3 or 4 new codes and confirming over and over again I was at the right place, they eventually said there was nothing they could do to let us out. At this point Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m obviously livid and my friend had to take the phone. She had to literally raise hell just to get a code that actually worked. Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ll be moving my things first chance I get to a storage unit that actually has reliable customer service. My things have been in the unit for 2 weeks and is already covered with stink bugs. I guess thatﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s easy to happen when there are literally zero employees at the facility. Only giving two starts because the kiosk and internet reservations were very user friendly and easy to navigate.
