- Ramps needed entering doorways especially when using a dolly or flat cart. The pavement should be level without a rise for obvious reasons. Also dollys and flat carts-should be more accessible and inside each doorway. Staff was helpful and friendly.

- We had an immediate need for storage space and we made all arrangements by phone from our car (driving down 95 from NJ) in one afternoon. Everyone we dealt with was patient and helpful. The managers of our facility even stayed past closing time to help us get prepared for the arrival of our moving van early the next morning. Our facility is well-designed, well-lighted and clean. The entrance gate, entry, elevator, carts, doors, and locks all function smoothly. We also get a friendly wave from the windows of the managersﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ office almost every time we drive in.

- For the most part, my experience with Public Storage was very good. One problem does exist. The rental main office in Hilton Head is in one place (Office Park Rd.) and the actual place where I rent is at Arrow Rd. about five minutes away. I attempted to open the gate, via the code, after hours and I had a heck of a time getting in. I kept trying different combinations of the code they gave me, to no avail. After 20 minutes, I entered the code and hit the (#) key twice and the gate opened. Very frustrating, but I finally got in. Dennis Harbour

Sends out requests for proof of insurance, while threatening to add insurance charges whiteout proper notice.

- They advertise contactless. However upon my arrival on a Saturday evening I found that their storage doors only accept a cylinder lock that only they supply at a cost of course. In order to get the cylinder lock you must see somebody in the office. The office was closed upon my arrival and my truck had to be back the following morning which was Sunday and they were not open on sunday. I called the number on the door and received an answering machine where I left a message asking them to call me back. I was forced to go elsewhere and ever did receive a return call. I sent an email requesting a refund of my initial $98 payment explaining the circumstances. They never responded. I then drove to the location and spoke to Lisa and explained what had happened. She informed me that in order to get the lock I would have needed to come inside. I explained that the office was closed and she told me that I should have then called the number on the door. I explained that I did that as well and left a message on the answering machine. She seemed surprised that the answering machine kicked in stating that they had 24-hour call center service and they must not have picked up for some reason. I was informed that I would only receive a refund of $68 because there was a $30 administration fee. Despite the fact that they're answering service did not pick up which was not my fault she stated she still could not return the $30 administrative fee. It seems ironic that I'm paying for an administrative fee but did not receive any administrative help.
