- I called the central phone line and reserved a unit one afternoon. While on the phone with central reservation, I was told the unit would be reserved for me for a week and that the manager of the local Public Storage would call me. The next day, I left for work at 6:20 a.m. and didn't return home until about 9:00 p.m. I did not check my email all day but I did go by the storage facility and pay for the unit. My experience with the manager onsite was fine. She was professional and pleasant. When I got home and checked my email, I found an email from Public Storage stating I had to pay for the unit that day (which I did fortunately) or the unit would be given to another customer. That contradicts what I was told on the phone. Also, the email claims I was called several times. I had no missed calls, no voice mails, and no texts that day. I feel the statement is dishonest. The other thing I did not like was that the unit required a special lock you have to buy from Public Storage. It isn't a lock that you can use anywhere else. I do like the security and cleanliness of the storage facility and feel my goods will be quite secure there.

- Elevator was out of service the day I was moving into my locker. I had to hand carry all my stuff up a long flight of stairs. Frustrating. 10% price increase in first year - based on what? Sends out requests for proof of insurance, while threatening to add insurance charges whiteout proper notice.
