- I highly recommend Public Storage on Union Rd. I had booked another location and was in touch with the manager all day long updating as i was running late. I let her know I would be on time to 10 minutes at the most late, and had left her my number if she needed to contact me. I arrived 3 minutes late. CLOSED!! No phone call, no nothing. There I was with a 28' truck full of stuff that had to be back the next morning, along with a towing trailer with my mini van on it, and my wife following in my Expedition with my 3 kids. We drove for hours and the lady knew it. She knew we had got caught in a snowstorm and she was completely gone at 6:03pm. I then looked around at the property and realized there was NO WAY I was getting the 28' into the location. What a bad setup! As angry as i was, I decided to stick with PS but find a better, more deserving location. That's just what i did. The Staff was extremely helpful with switching my reservation over, and the location on Union Rd in Gastonia, is much better equipped and layed out to accommodate such a big truck. At the end of the morning, i was happy. the location is clean, staff is helpful, and price is right. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Go see William today, he is great!

- I am so glad it's close by. I understand that it's climate control, though the entrance is covered by door access to the units. It's almost impossible to get your things in due to the automatic door and elevator access in which there is no way to set doors to open while unloading from truck and getting inside. And a threat of termination of lease if you prop the doors open to get in fully before going up to unit. Was exhausting and frustrating trying to move in
