- I recently rented storage at Life Storage because I am buying a house in a town many miles south of the Twin Cities. I am in the process of clearing out my present home to ready it to be on the market. I have a lot of stuff after living here 40 years, and no time for yard sales and all that, so we are packing me up, donating a lot, trashing some and storing the remainder at Life Storage.
PJ is very helpful in choosing the right size for me, and completing the paperwork in no time flat. They were patient with me trying out the lock to be sure I knew how it worked, and explained the gate code very carefully. They also helped with the purchase of some packing materials that I hadn't seen anywhere else, such as cartons for mirrors and glass-framed large pictures.
The facility is climate-controlled which is a great feature, clean and neat, with good signage, multiple carts. The doors and walls are in great shape, no dents or rust was visible. The distance from my present home is less than 2 miles, so that is a big plus, security is top-notch, and even going there alone invokes no fear on my part.

- I've used this storage facility for many years. I like the easy access and location. Its always clean and open feeling. They have just expanded with new units. The staff has been friendly with flexibility to help with my needs. I am especially grateful for Mary and Meg who recently helped me transfer to a more efficient storage size saving me some $. They are very nice and have answered all my questions accurately before doing any transactions. I would not recommend another storage facility withing a 20 mile range. THANKS

- Sandy was extremely professional and supportive. I originally booked online a 5x5 unit but once I arrived I discovered that unit was too small. I ended up upgrading to a 10x10 and saving a few coins.

- Their prices were better than anyone else in the area, especially for that size locker. They called me on a Saturday right away. No one was there to show it to me but I was able to sign up online. Everything was perfect on the way it should be

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Hastings, Minnesota is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Minnesota, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Hastings, Minnesota.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Hastings, Minnesota?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Hastings?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
