- This is my first experience with Public Storage and so far it has been stellar. The fellow that checked me in was named Chris at the Belmont, CA location. PS should be proud to have a person of Chris' caliber working for them. His customer service was outstanding, in fact he should teach others the art of engaging customers. Fantastic He couldn't have been more helpful, professional or cheerful. He showed me the unit and explained all of the nuances involved. All in all it was a pleasant experience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I have only been renting the unit for a couple of days.

- When you live in a smaller place, a storage unit is sometimes a must. And when you use a storage unit, you want it to be clean, convenient, and safe, both for your belongings and for you while you use it. This storage facility is all of the above; we've had a unit here for two years now, and have nothing but good things to say.
Why am I writing a review of a storage unit? They're great and all, but there are others, aren't there? Well, this one has a particularly great manager--Umer is friendly and helpful, and exactly the kind of person I want and trust to be watching over my things.

- Kim was great. She is very on top of the security and the cleanliness and condition of the property. She is approachable, available and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer's needs are met. The condition of our storage unit is very good, the rates are favorable and the process was smooth from reserving all the way to moving into the space.

- Twila is a very professional and kind hearted person. If the world had more people like her in it we would be in harmony. Anyone looking for a place to keep valuables safe and someone to keep on top business, look no further. I really enjoy her personality and is always willing to help. Can't ask for much more.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Union City, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Union City, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Union City, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Union City?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
