Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Brentwood, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Brentwood, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Brentwood, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Brentwood?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Brentwood, in eastern Contra Costa County, has had one of the fastest population increases in the Bay Area over the past twenty years, mainly because of new housing along Highway 4. This growth has created steady demand for self-storage, especially during moves, renovations, and home sales.
Facilities along Highway 4 attract commuters between Antioch and Oakley. Locations near Vasco Road serve residents who travel to Livermore, Tri-Valley job centers, and the Altamont Pass wind-energy area.
Downtown storage units on Lone Tree Way and Sand Creek Road often have the highest occupancy because they are next to retail hubs like The Streets of Brentwood. Facilities farther east near Marsh Creek Road, where agricultural zoning dominates, usually advertise lower rates and face less congestion. These eastern sites appeal to residents who need long-term vehicle or equipment storage because of their larger lots.
Prices in Brentwood often spike in summer when families move to match the Liberty Union High School District calendar. Units near Balfour Road and O’Hara Avenue often see faster rent increases because they are close to subdivisions like Emerson Ranch and Magnolia Park, which continue to draw new homeowners. Developers in these neighborhoods market “low-maintenance lots,” which raises demand for offsite storage when households run out of garage space.
Housing design also affects storage needs. Many Brentwood homes lack large attics or basements, so families in neighborhoods like Deer Ridge, Shadow Lakes, and Sterling Preserve often rent 10x10 units for seasonal gear, bikes, or sports equipment for groups like the Delta Patriots and Brentwood PONY Baseball. In contrast, residents on larger rural parcels east of town, some still used for vineyards or equestrian facilities, often lease oversized units for tractors, horse trailers, or several recreational vehicles.
This mix of suburban and agricultural storage needs makes Brentwood a distinct market in Contra Costa County, combining commuter demand with rural property needs.
