- Move in day was a Saturday, husband and I been busy moving our things we didn’t realize it was past closing. We were told that if we stayed past the hours for the gate that we would have to contact someone or wait til someone came to let us out. With no signal and not much battery left and no where to charge so we continued working until gate opened up Sunday. We also had a golf cart that we were using to transport our items and we were parking like any other vehicle while we were in the building. When we were locked in someone dismantled our golf cart so it wouldn’t run and since it was Sunday there were no part stores open and so had to sit until Monday Came back Monday to drop some items off and get the golf cart but find gate code not working and a note stating to get all belongings out of unit in 5days and to remove the lock. Well lock was already removed and I called customer service and they didn’t have answer to why this was being done. I come back next day to figure out what is going on and get told because we “slept” over night and because our golf cart caught fire while we were gone was the reason for why. I asked several times why they did not give me a call to let me know what had happened the manager just stood there looking at me like a deer in headlights. I get told I can only clear my items during business hours which are very limited they are closed Sunday. Times are very difficult right now and just when you think you are going to get a little bit of fresh air it gets spitfire all over. So how imma bout to lose all of my things cause I don’t have the extra money to find new place or the time and storage unit space is limited especially in the price range and space needed. I believe I should get full refund on all fees, insurance and lock purchase at least since I couldn’t get a phone call about my golf cart catching on fire.
