On March 22, this company charged my account without my knowledge or permission $203.00 almost 95% -100% more on my bill without consent. The company claim to have sent out a post card which could have been lost by mail. Self-storage rental agreements now must request that tenants provide two email addresses and a mobile number. Facility operators must also inform customers, either within the rental agreement or via verified mail, of the companyﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s right to enforce a lien. If this information is included in the lease, it must be in bold type at least 12 points in size, and the customer must initial next to the language when signing. If delivered by mail, the information must also be sent via email and text message. None of these procedures were done. The company should disclose to every client the time in which rates would be increased and by how much. The storage company should give account of price gorging and inability to disclose to customers in a timely manner or in the agreement of their increase percent over a period of time.

- The Life Storage facility located at 1 South Street in Garden City is conveniently located, accommodating, clean, with a knowledgeable staff to assist. From the minute we entered the facility we were met with a warm welcome and offered assistance. The front desk agent was very familiar with the check in process for new customers. A large loading bay with plenty of moving carts provided the perfect access for us to unload our truck in front of the elevator to the upper floors. The entire process was easy and quick.

- I went solely to 'window shop' as public storage had given me an affordable price for a unit. I arrived and was greeted by the staff whom were very friendly. I spoke to the manager Dashni, and she was very kind and answered any questions I had. She explained everything very thoroughly and with a lot of patience. The unit itself, a 5x5, was a PERFECT fit for what I was looking for. And Dashni advised us that if we wanted to upgrade to a bigger space, that we could at any time (which is great!!). We paid for the unit plus insurance which all came out to under $100 which is just what we wanted. She explained how the billing cycle worked and then gave us the key to our unit plus all the paperwork I had signed. The only thing I would change if I could is the store hours.. I wish they were open a little later as I currently work a 9-5 and it's a bit too tight to make it there in time.. Everything else was great!! The place and unit were both clean and I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you Dashni!!!
