- Public Storage has always been their when we have needed to store small, large or even a home full of furniture, boxes or whatever items we have had. The security and safety measures are wonderful. The only complaint I might have is for the key pad to enter in and go out of the gate are on the drivers side of the vehicle. This is so that for everyones safety and security intering or leaving you never have to get out of your vehicle. Exspecially those who have a hadicap or an EPO. Also a press button for emergencies. I will always use Public Storage for a complete overall experience.

- Easy to setup reservation for any size storage online and simply stop by and it's waiting for you. The manager/supervisor Renee (I believe was her name) even called me to introduce herself and meet me when I came in to sign paperwork. Storage Center is nice enough and easy to drive around in with plenty of unloading/loading room. Rates are one of the cheaper ones I found online so all in all very pleased with it all. You can even pay your bill online, very convenient!

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Mount Washington, Kentucky is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Kentucky, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Mount Washington, Kentucky?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Mount Washington?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Storage facilities are mainly located along KY-44 and US-31E (Bardstown Road), making them easy to reach for residents traveling between Louisville and Bardstown. Facilities near the intersection of KY-44 and Fisher Lane are particularly useful for commuters who drive through the center of town daily.
Units near downtown Mount Washington and Old Mill Road typically have higher demand and slightly higher rates compared to those in residential areas, such as Bogard Lane or Stringer Lane. Renters looking to save money often find lower monthly costs at facilities near US-150 heading toward Shepherdsville.
Many Mount Washington families in neighborhoods like Hidden Creek and Autumn Glen find 10x10 units ideal for seasonal decorations, sports gear, and extra household items. Residents in smaller apartments near Park Hill Apartments often choose 5x10 units for furniture and boxes.
Climate-controlled storage is valuable in Mount Washington because Kentucky summers are humid, with temperatures often topping 90°F. Storing delicate items like wooden furniture or electronics in a climate-controlled facility on Bardstown Road helps prevent heat damage.
