- First off I will say Kyla was by far the best part of my experience here. I only rented with the company for one month and had some issues with being over charged then refunded then notified by a collections company that I owed the refunded money... It was a mess to say the least. But I Would have lost my mind and temper if it weren't for the help I received from this wonderful lady!!

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Danville, Indiana is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Indiana, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Danville, Indiana.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Danville, Indiana?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Danville?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Danville is the Hendricks County seat and is near the center of the county. When searching for storage, compare each unit’s distance from the courthouse square, U.S. 36/Main Street, and State Road 39. U.S. 36 serves as Main Street through Danville, while State Road 39 is a main north-south route. Both roads affect travel time and access when renters compare storage locations.
Location value depends heavily on access to U.S. 36/Main Street and State Road 39. These roads serve as the main east-west and north-south reference points for local renters. The Main Street/U.S. 36 corridor falls within a town overlay district with development standards. Properties near the corridor may have different layouts and access conditions than sites farther from downtown.
When comparing fixed self-storage units, Danville renters should consider unit size, location, and frequency of travel. Repeated trips across town on U.S. 36 or State Road 39 can erase the savings from a slightly cheaper unit. Danville’s high rate of owner-occupied housing may increase demand for 10x10 and 10x15 units. Residents may use these units for furniture, seasonal household items, and garage overflow, rather than for short-term moving storage alone.
Renters should ask what their insurance covers for water damage. The West Fork of White Lick Creek runs through the area, and USGS monitors the creek at Danville. Hendricks County maintains floodplain management resources and participates in the Community Rating System. Renters comparing units in low-lying or creek-adjacent areas should ask whether the property has a documented floodplain status.
