- Very easy access to the facility and layout is vehicle friendly. Due to limited access once inside the gate, parking to on/off load can be an issue depending on the consideration of others (often poor). Bring your own 2 wheeler; again due to the lack of consideration by other renters. The locking devices are a scam. You have to pay $20 for a lock (can't use your own) and the lock is not returnable or usable again since it is a specialty for the latches on the units. They don't have a master key (good thing). Lose the key and it's $20 to remove the old one plus $20 more for a new one. You have to purchase their insurance instead of having to provide proof of insurance. $12 a month minimum. On a positive note, the facility is clean and the climate control seems to work well. The staff is polite and cordial. They were willing to help in any way they could.

- I was moving out of my apartment and greatly underestimated how much stuff I had. I decided to look into storage facilities and needed storage space that day. Many other places cost so much money to store things and I'm a college student so I don't really have a lot of money. I heard about StorQuest from a friend and since it was the cheapest option, reserved a storage space. I got to StorQuest the second that the associate inside was about to go for lunch, but she delayed her lunch to help me. Great price, great space, and great customer service. 5/5.

- Very clean and new facility with climate control. Partially solar powered. Not many road access but if you don't have very large objects, the elevator is plenty with many loading carts available to move your items.

We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving storage facilities throughout Florida, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Alachua, Florida.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.

How do I find the cheapest storage in Alachua?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
