- Over the years we've rented many units from this location and have found Umer to be very helpful, kind and courteous. If we weren't moving away we would definitely have stayed here. I highly recommend this location.

- I signed up for my unit on Tuesday afternoon but still needed to complete the final steps. I asked if he would be there the next mirning he said Yes. The following morning I showed up. The office was locked, there was no answer on the phone. I left 4 messages during the following hour. I went to my unit. It was sealed and there was no access and no lock and key. Finally I get a call from a neighboring facility saying the manager had called in and she would be there to help in the afternoon. She then told me how to break the seal and gain access to the lock and key on the floor of the unit. It would have been helpful if facility manager would had told me that the day before, but he said he would be there in the morning. I understand why he didn’t take me to the unit and show me this because I needed to be somewhere and was in a rush. But he could have told me the process. Very frustrating move in day

- On September 14th we received an email from Public Storage starting out, "As we notified you on August 31, 2020, the storage facility located at 20565 Valley Green Drive, where your goods are currently stored, is undergoing a renovation project than will begin on October 1, 2020." It continues on to tell us to ... transfer your goods to a new storage space later than September 30, 2020."
We did not receive any notification on August 31, 2020 from Public Storage either by email, postal mail or by phone call. We did receive emails from Public Storage on August 12th (monthly storage invoice) and September 2nd ("Your Payment Receipt # 871388272), but nothing on August 31st.
We were given only 15 days to find storage space at a different facility when all of the other renters were given 31 days (assuming they received the 9/31/20 Notice). As a consequence, we found that there were zero storage units available at all of the facilities within a reasonable driving distance.
As a tech exec that has worked for the best user experience companies in the world, Apple, Intel, and Nokia, I say to you that your management decision process is deeply flawed. If, in mid-July there was even a 50-50% chance that this renovation project would start on September 1st, then PS management should have directed Marketing to alert customers to that possibility. Giving Finance greater power in decision making over the customer notification strategy than Marketing/Customer Service puts PS squarely in the company of those who only give lip service to user experience.
The only reason I gave PS a poor rating and not bad was because your customer service has done a phenomenal job at helping people find storage units at other PS sites. I rate Customer Service firefighting (pulling PS bacon out of the fire) a Great, and it would be even better if they enthusiastically found units for displaced customers at all storage companies rather than just PS sites.

- Opening hours for Sunday was listed as 6AM but when arrived, had to wait until 9:30AM. Tried calling property manager many times but no one ever responded or called back at any time. Left a voicemail and no response. The door to storage does seem completely secure either.

- The staff was very helpful and quick, walking me to my unit to be sure that everything was working well. In addition, the facility is really clean and well-organized. They have really thought through the process of obtaining and moving into a unit so directions for all the processes are clear. I did have a little trouble setting up my on-line account - possibly my own fault - but I think it could be improved a bit.

- This was a lovely storage facility or we had stuff stored for about 5 months. But if you're not going to access your stuff awesome, expect your entrance code to expire. We had to wait for the person on Duty to reinstate our court code before we could get in comma 2 times after extended absences.

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
Public Storage 12299 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070 408-849-4012
Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Saratoga, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Saratoga, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Saratoga, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Saratoga?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
