- I decided on this facility for several reasons: a great introductory price, good location, and ease of access (i.e., no hauling things inside a building, stairs, etc.). The employee with whom I spoke in the office was courteous and helpful, and explained everything well. The small unit I rented was extremely clean, as if it had bever been rented before; excellent.

- When I got there I was greeted in a friendly and professional matter. I didn't had to show my online rsvp #. They pulled it up and right away a ride to see my unit. Came back and paperwork was ready to sign and every question I had was answered. Overall satisfied experience.

- There are many built-in costs that make this storage company completely cost-ineffective. They charge the ridiculous amount of $17 for their very specific lock for the units; this fee is non-refundable, and the lock is completely useless outside of the facilities. Almost $20 thrown away there. Add in the insurance, the start-up fees, etcetera, this is a poor value. Their pro-rating system is horrendous, only offering pro-rating for the first 10 days of the month, and charging the full month for anything past those first 10 days. Regardless of when in the month you start your rental, you will be charged for the WHOLE month, and then the "next month" will apparently be pro-rated. This is backwards logic, and for people looking for very short-term rentals, will cost you up to 400% more than the rental time you are actually looking to use. I only needed a week's worth of storage, and was forced to pay for the whole month. I am unhappy, feel ripped off, and will not be using Public Storage facilities again, at least not this location, although I believe the business practices are similar for all locations. Mediocre customer service and impotent employees who said they had no power to help also helped create this opinion.

- They were not open on the day I reserved my unit. They were suppose to be open. Called corporate and they said they were getting calls all day about it. They should have sent someone to open the location up if that was the case. Went back the next day and the manager did take care of me and was very polite and apologetic.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Long Beach, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Long Beach, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
