- I wish I could share a more positive experience. The online setup was straightforward and convenient. However, I later had questions and was surprised to be charged $20 for a lock that doesn’t feel very secure. It was also challenging to reach someone at the office to address my concerns, and the lock I paid for wasn’t even in the storage unit. The office was supposed to close at 6:00 PM, but I arrived at 3:40 PM and was unable to access my unit. I was incredibly frustrated to have a vehicle full of items but couldn't store them. I hope the process goes more smoothly when I end my lease than it did at the start.

Being a fresh former store manager from extra space storage, I was very pleased. the customer service representative kaleem was so respectful, a great listener, and stood out from all the rest of the places I called. He listened to my concerns and put me into the right unit with the right price. Overall public storage is a great company, I would recommend them to everyone. A couple little things: there is a super squeaky, teeth jarring silver dolly in the climate control that we (those renting spaces) all try to avoid, and the door kickstand on the door near the stop sign is worn completely down so the door won't stay when you want to take a dolly in.
