- I had excellent customer service, I moved across country and the team at BlueBird in Dover was amazing, a move like that is very stressful but moving into this facility took the stress off at final stage of the move. They helped me coordinate with my movers and were very friendly while doing so!
When I got to facility to move in, they provided all the info I needed, the facility is super clean, lots of carts to bring in and carry out your stuff.
Definitely would recommend this place!

- I am so grateful to Wendy,Associate Manager at Life Storage in Lee, NH. She is professional, friendly, a good problem-solver, and extremely helpful! I had complicated storage needs, consolidating things from several moves in three different months, which ended up requiring several climate controlled spaces. I don't know anyone who likes the hard work of moving, but Wendy definitely made this difficult process smoother. Her coworker, Jim, was also very helpful and friendly! Outstanding customer service is a hallmark of this facility, where they respond promptly whether you ask a question or make a reservation (Matt, the manager, is also friendly and informative). They excel at providing clear information, and worked with me to figure out which units would best suit my needs. The Climate Controlled building where my "life" is stored is clean, new, rodent-free (important!), and the nicest storage facility I have seen. Security cameras offer extra reassurance, building hours are convenient, the grounds are well kept, the gate and door codes work well, and the other clients I've encountered all seem happy with their spaces. Highly recommend!

- Getting the unit was very easy, and the price was fair, but we rented this unit based on getting the online promotion of half off the first 2 months. Despite the promotion being on my conformation email, they still never gave it to me. So when the customer service agent called to ask me how my move in went, and I asked her about it, she told me only certain units were on special, and mine wasn't. When I told her I had it in my email, and that it was very misleading and basically fraudulent, then to say it was on special, she didn't know what to say, other than, "I'm sorry, have a good day". I then called the local number on my email, and another man told me almost the same thing, and I told him what I told the other lady. He then tried to tell me after it wasn't on special, that it was, but the reason I didn't get the discount, was that I didn't click on the special promotion when I was checking out. There was never anything to click, but what was given to me. I call complete BS on it, but he eventually gave it to me in the form of a credit on my account, but please be careful, and don't ever check out online, unless you are getting what the internet said! Other than that, everything else was fine. Just do your due diligence!

- The biggest issue I have is with hidden fees and weird pricing. After spending about an hour waiting my turn in line and finally touring my prospective unit, I was ready to sign up. Only then do they mention a hidden $25 move-in fee, and that insurance is required (the cheapest they offer is $10/month). Furthermore, the staff was unable to answer any questions about what the insurance actually provides. The insurance sheet says conflicting things in a very short space: "covers flooding" (in bold), and then a few paragraphs later "does not cover any water damage" (also bold). Well which is itjQuery111009210271696519456_1506618810967?
While the staff I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating, I have a few issues with this Life Storage facility. The buildings seem quickly renovated or thrown up and there is practically no security (no cameras on or inside dark buildings). My unit has nails protruding from the walls and several holes / dents. The entry codes are a mere 5 digits and they suggest birthdays, so you can imagine how hard it would be to guess a random code and gain entry. They also close at 10pm for some reason, even though they are unstaffed at that time. Why not be open 24 hours/day?

- I would give Prime Storage negative stars if I could!
When this business was locally-owned (King Storage), it offered stable and reasonable rates, 24-hour access (without additional fees), friendly ownership and staff, and no insurance requirement.
With the corporate takeover (Prime Storage) it has been nothing but a nightmare! Within a few months my unit rate went up by almost 50%. Access hours became limited. I submitted my homeowners insurance information in-person, yet I was still billed for personal property insurance. Now they are ratcheting up some of their fees to exorbitant rates:
$50 No Registration/Insurance (Vehicle)
$50 Lock Cut Fee
$35 Electricity Fee
$125 Dumpster Fee
$30/mo 24 Hour Access
I cringe every time I receive an email from Prime Storage. What next? It has been an absolutely horrible experience renting from corporate America.

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Durham, New Hampshire is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout New Hampshire, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Durham, New Hampshire.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Durham, New Hampshire?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Durham?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
