- The free truck was the deciding factor for me. It came loaded with moving blankets and a hand cart. Once we were at the facility, they had large carts for moving items. I've used other storage facilities in the past and was hesitate this time because previous experiences were horrible. I would highly recommend!

- Second Customer Service Complaint
I am at a point with this company, I am regretting even coming here. I have been scammed, advertised at one price, then changed immediately when I moved my furniture there. This is as quoted from first complaint "taken advantage of by trusting, site unseen, won't happen again. Lets see if the monthly rate rises-changes quickly" Well the monthly has been rises right after the so called $193/mth is now $262.96/mth and rising ever month
First Customer Service Complaint
Rented the storage unit sight unseen
I rented the storage unit sight unseen, and when I arrived it appeared the storage unit was used as a mechanic shop, greasy and dirty floor, with a few mice holes. Tenant did seal the mouse holes with foam but we shall see. My mistake was trusting in cleanliness, very dirty. I also get taken advantage of by trusting, won't happen again. Lets see if the monthly rate rises-changes quickly

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Abingdon, Maryland is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Maryland, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Abingdon, Maryland.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Abingdon, Maryland?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Abingdon?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Abingdon is located in Harford County, a fast-growing commuter county between Interstate 95 and U.S. Route 40. This location supports steady storage demand from residents moving between Baltimore County and northeastern Maryland.
The community is just south of MD Route 24, a main north-south corridor that connects Abingdon to Bel Air and Edgewood. Easy access plays a major role when comparing storage locations.
Residential growth in Abingdon follows a suburban pattern with many townhomes and single-family developments. This housing mix increases off-site storage use during renovations and moves. These location factors affect unit availability and the ease of access to storage facilities for renters.
Storage demand is influenced by nearby employment centers such as the Aberdeen Proving Ground, located northeast of the community. This contributes to higher residential turnover than in rural parts of Harford County. Areas closer to MD Route 24 and the I-95 interchange often face more storage competition due to higher commuter traffic and apartment complexes.
Many household moves follow the Harford County school calendar, which increases short-term storage demand in late spring and summer. These seasonal demand patterns can limit unit availability, even when advertised prices look low.
Abingdon’s proximity to Interstate 95 affects storage pricing and availability. Heavy freight traffic and commuter use increase demand for land and commercial space. Climate also affects storage needs. Harford County has humid summers, with average humidity often above 65 percent, which increases demand for enclosed units to protect paper items and electronics.
Parts of Abingdon are near the Bush River watershed. Higher groundwater levels in these areas can affect the construction standards for storage buildings. These geographic and environmental conditions lead to differences in storage options across the area.
For residents in the Laurel Bush or Constant Friendship neighborhoods, container storage may not work due to HOA rules or limited driveway space. Check with your homeowners association or property manager before scheduling a delivery unit in these areas. Driveway placement may require notice to Harford County’s Department of Public Works if it blocks pedestrian access on a public sidewalk.
Some storage facilities in Harford County require proof of renter’s insurance for storage use. Some facilities accept outside insurance policies. Others, especially those near Festival at Bel Air, require you to buy coverage through the storage provider. Always ask for a written copy of the insurance terms and storage liability coverage before signing, especially when storing high-value household items.
