- Seems every lease in Boston turns over on September 1st. I moved my stuff into storage on August 30th early afternoon expecting chaos. Instead I found Danielle calm and smiling, ready to check me in. Took 10 minutes. My movers arrived, unloaded, and packed my 10’ x 15’ space in about 45 minutes. There was one other moving company there, but we never had any issues jostling for the elevator (i’m on the 2nd floor). Extra Space provides platform dollies. Each elevator can hold 3 dollies. I’m extremely satisfied. Incredibly clean, easy to access, simple check in. Be sure to reserve online. Saves a lot of time when you do get there.

- While Prime Storage does offer competitive prices...their communication and customer service at their Malden location isn’t the best. I stood at the counter for a good 20 minutes and listened to the staff talk about their weekend plans and dissing the other locations, before I was even tended too. The spot that I had reserved for my car wasn’t available because someone else had parked in my spot due to their spot being unavailable, and didn’t even check to see if the spot they assigned to me was actually available. The person was out of town and it ended up being a big deal to get me a new spot.

- Both of the women I spoke to were very helpful. They patiently explained any details I needed to know and answered all of my questions. The facility is clean, well-lit and secure. While you have to buy their locks, the reason was satisfactorily explained. The only negative comment I have is the fact that there is a rate increase after so many months. (I don't recall the time period in which this takes place.) This is the first time I've ever heard of a storage company that automatically imposes a rate increase for an existing customer regardless of payment history.
