- Delilah was very nice. She really helped me with my storage process. The only problem I had was that I wasn't informed about some of the fees when I had first called. Other than that, every thing went really well. I would definitely recommend Public Storage to anybody. Great customer service from the time I got there until the time I left.

- Very friendly and personable staff. Just wish they would've allowed me the opportunity to wait till Monday to prove my insurance coverage. In order to update the coverage I needed a for sure unit number. In order to get my unit number I needed insurance. Makes it tricky. Otherwise I look forward to utilizing cube smart!

- although the customer service was excellent,I unfortunately had to pay a extra day's rent on my moving because I was given the wrong security cody and was unable to unload my belongings till the next day which cost me an extra $75 (rental & gas) and instead of getting, it back that day I was told that it would come off the next month bill ,which left me strapped for cash...I don't understand why there isn't an emergency number for situations like that. You've got a 1-800 number for renting ,but none for help which is unfair.

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
L & M Storage of Indiana Inc 425 W 151st St #5, East Chicago, IN 46312 219-398-7000
Finding and renting self-storage facilities in East Chicago, Indiana is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Indiana, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in East Chicago, Indiana.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.
Are there free storage deals in East Chicago, Indiana?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in East Chicago?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
