- got a reduced intro rate, planned to move out asap before half price runs out. They pro-rated from 1st of month so only got 50% off 45 days. The phone # changed and was not updated online so they were messaging me about an issue and leaving old # also in e-mail. Had to physically go there during office hours and they were like nevermind about the issue. Then a rat ate cellophane in unit and when I was moving out the crumbs got scattered. No broom in building, and only one for the entire facility you have to ask for. They charged me $40 and wanted to charge $100 which is insanity. Also they do not refund any remaining balance. I asked for a broom at the end and the guy didn't even bring it. Screw this place.

- I’m happy to say that when I called customer service they were able to help me out with finishing the process to move in. The reason being nobody was in the office. I only went to the office because I had originally missed a call from the location I was going to move into that same day. I tried calling back several times and had left messages but nothing in response so after minorly panicking I contacted customer service and they were able to help me out finishing the process so I can move in same day. Which customer service ended up helping me out effortlessly to be able to move in. I was contacted by the office the next day after messages had already been left and I already have moved in. Highly recommend to put actual office hours and not just location hours that way you’re able to be helped on site if needed.
Due to cleanliness. how secure location is and of course the great price those are the reasons I would recommend this place. Just hoping prices don’t keep rising like other storages have done in the past.

- This was an outstanding experience. CHEAP PRICES AND 1st Month is only $1!!!! I was referred to them from a who rents a space from this Lamesa Storquest himself. It was cleaner than any place iv'e seen. New building along with nice amentaties such as private gate access, A/C, Late hours from 6am-10pm, and a sense of security. I couldn't be more satisfied. I spoke with the front desk representative Ceasar. He's definataly one outstanding guy to work with. Like i said, Will rent from again and again!. - Suni S.

- I didn't need the smallest unit a storage had to offer, I needed something just a little smaller than that, and Prime Storage has exactly that! I was able to rent a locker size unit for a few bins and bags. It's the perfect size and perfect price.

- Cyndy was very helpful. But I am getting tired of getting phone calls telling me that I didn't fill out this or that or that the code to get in the gate given to me may not work so use a different one if it doesnt work. Hello. Your rating is going to decline in my view.

- I am happy with this facility: close to where I live, the actual unit is easily accessible, open from 6 am to 10 pm every day, and I especially appreciate the light.
One tiny thing--in both entries, the concrete posts make it hard to punch in the code from my car, and/or I have to be very careful not to scratch my car. Other places have the code box planted into a concrete post, and it is easier to access but still safe from being hit by a car.

- The place is clean, the people there are respectful. I am quite happy with it. I only wish that the prices were slightly lower. Some others in the area have better rates. That was the only thing I was somewhat disappointed.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in La Mesa, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in La Mesa, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in La Mesa, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in La Mesa?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Storage facilities are concentrated near Interstate 8 and Fletcher Parkway. This location is convenient for residents in neighborhoods such as Grossmont and Lake Murray. Locations near Grossmont Center also provide easy access for people living or working near Spring Street or Baltimore Drive.
Facilities in La Mesa’s city center often cost 20% to 35% more than those located 5 to 7 miles away. If you only need occasional access, a suburban location can save you hundreds of dollars each year. For frequent visits, the higher cost of a central facility is usually worth the convenience.
Units near the La Mesa Boulevard trolley station or along El Cajon Boulevard usually cost more because of their central location and higher demand. For lower prices, look at facilities near Lemon Avenue or on the edge of the city toward El Cajon. Discounts are more common at facilities near El Cajon and Lemon Grove, where competition between operators lowers introductory prices.
In La Mesa, prices are higher near main roads such as El Cajon Boulevard and Lake Murray Boulevard, where demand is stronger. Units a few blocks from these busy roads often cost less, though they may take longer to reach during peak traffic.
