- Since Cubesmart took over from the local Tri storage owners, the rates have gone up at least $200.00 and now we just got a notice that the rate is increasing $100.00 from last year to 2023. We were always happy with the unit and customer service when it was locally owned. It is crazy! We also have had trouble with mice in our unit. We are looking for a more reasonable rate as well as a better run storage space. I would think long and hard before renting from CubeSmart.
