- I do not recommend this place at all. Not sure why they offer online registration because when you get to the facility there are no signs telling you where you should go or where the entrance is. The whole purpose of this, is so things are convenient for those who cannot make it to the office. I lost a lot of money on my move in day as I came in after the office closed but could not get into my unit because of the lack of information given to me and the lack of proper signage at the property. I had to pay for helpers twice because of there lack of instructions. Then when I finally am able to get to my unit the next day. There was only 1 cart to help me offload. According the the Nataly at the front desk. She said they were too heavy for her to move. So me and my crew had to hall ass because I also got stuck w. a U-haul Truck for a 2nd day thanks to them. Let me not get started on Customer Support after hours.... THERE IS NONE. So, if you do online registration BEWARE. Go elsewhere. They obviously do not not the stress of moving as there LACK of customer service proves it.

- Mr. D's Storage, the previous owner, provided a better experience for me. Prime Storage increased the rental rate by $30/month, removed 24-hour access, and damaged my furniture when they installed a new lock system. I was ensured I would be notified of the lock change and receive my old lock back. I do not live in New York, however, months later when the lock system was changed I picked up the key and entered my unit to find my furniture damaged. I notified the office, they handed me a brochure and told me to file a complaint with the company on the brochure. I can't wait to move my belongings out of Prime Storage.

- DO NOT RENT FROM Prime Storage in Farmingdale. They should be shut down. The outside door does not lock so anyone can walk in at any time. There is one elevator in the entire storage facility and IT NEVER WORKS. There are NEVER moving carts or hand trucks so you have to carry everything up and down steps The doors are all different sizes so, your box or furniture might fit in the 1st floor door but when you get to the top of the steps (yes - is said steps because the elevator never works) the door is a different, smaller size, so, your item may not fit through that door and you are stuck in the stairwell with your item. Management is despicable. I was due for a credit and I was told (this is not a joke) that because I was leaving the facility they were no longer giving me my credit because they didn't care anymore since I was no longer going to be a customer. If you leave even one minute past 10pm you are locked IN - NOT JOKING. The gate to leave the facility does NOT OPEN after 10pm from the inside. We were locked in. When we called the Prime Storage support number they didn't know what to do. We were stuck in the parking lot for over an hour and almost had to call the police to get us out. After speaking with other customers I met at the facility they were also moving out because of the same poor management and deplorable conditions of the facility. Prime storage might very well be one of the worst companies I have dealt with in a very long time. I also rent from Lifetime in Hicksville and they are WONDERFUL. Clean, always have carts and courteous staff. My advice to anyone considering Prime Storage in Farmingdale is DON'T DO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. You will be carrying your boxes with no hand trucks up and down 2 flights of steps and the management is rude, and does not care about you at all.

I called with an inquiry and the male I spoke with (I believe his name started with an E, he wouldn’t give his full name or employer I’d info to call the district manager) he was very nasty refused to give an email or another way to contact anyone but him. - My father and I came here and worked with Brianna tonight. We both are current customers and had a situation where we needed to get an additional unit and vacate my smaller one. Brianna is freaking awesome. Not only was she nice and showed us the difference of the different sized units that were closest to my current one so it would be easier to move my stuff, she set everything up for us to come in tomorrow morning so we can start moving stuff. I recently have to move out of my residence abruptly and she made everything so easy. Thank you Brianna for making this such an easy transition and being super friendly....it's a very rare quality these days and that made an already super stressful situation that much easier.
