- This facility is 100% automated, so there is no one on-site if you have any problems. If you call their customer service line, you get an AI chat agent that you are forced to talk to and learn how to communicate with. To be fair, the AI assistant can be somewhat helpful for basic things like getting your gate code and opening the gate. However, if you have any problems beyond that, good luck. I was unable to get into the facility because the paperwork that was sent to me sent me a gate code that was one digit too long. It took me 15 minutes to reach a human so they can figure it out. The facility is somewhat clean with the exception of the occasional debris found throughout the grounds. There are no carts leaving you with no choice but to carry each box individually or invest in your own cart/dolly. It seems crazy that all the other storage facilities in Rocky Mount, including 10 Federal Storage's sister facility Carolina Secure Storage, provide a cart for you to use (and their monthly rent is much cheaper!)

- After looking for a storage unit in northern NC, I came across a promotion on Sparefoot for this facility. I contacted TriStar and spoke to the manager who was very descriptive about the exterior (construction on the road) and what the facility offered. It is a non-descript building with a rusty old water tower next to it. It does look a bit dated on the outside BUT once inside, you see a clean and temperature controlled warehouse with individual units holding clients' personal effects. Secure, clean, and out of the elements.
