- Didn't honor the "First Months Rent Free" that was advertised and guaranteed when I reserved unit. When I arrived, employee told me their "internet was down" and I needed to disregard my already set up reservation and "rent a unit" through the website (even though I was at the physical location in person, under the impression I already had a secured reservation and first months rent free was promised after the time I took signing up and acquiring said reservation.) Went from $60 monthly rent/first month waived and an Application or Assessment charge/fee type thing I was already made aware of when reservation....even called and a customer service agent on the phone confirmed I would only have to pay $29 upon moving in/first month. By the time I finally get the unit and am able to move in, I ended up being charged $106. Not trying to be that person, but the whole reason I picked this storage facility was due to the first month free advertisement. Just don't like or think it's professional to not honor what you guarantee a customer. I even had called to confirm before going there just to ensure I wouldn't be hit with any surprises or it not be what it was advertised to be, and was reassured I'd be paying $29 and could move in. Not at all the case. Couldn't even pay in store, had to go in parking lot and start all over again online and pay online and wait for emails to get access codes.
