At the physical storage, the process took another 10 minutes to complete. Compared to other storage companies, this is way too long. - Excellent initial conversation with your personnel on the phone. That gave me all the information I needed to follow through with reserving a storage unit. Then your property manager Catherine called me directly and finalized my reservation. She then met me at the location and personally showed me the unit, issued my lock and keys and introduced me to the coded gate system. I have been in and out 4 times now , in the last two days, and things are working out just fine for our move to the Decatur area. My thanks to Cat and her crew at Public Storage.

- After storing furniture for a month until my son's house was ready, when we went to remove the furniture, the chairs, sofa pillow, the sofa, and the mattress had molded and mildew smell. All were thrown away. My son had thrown the mattresses in the dumpster before he took a picture of it, but did take a picture of the others. I was told that I would have to move everything out on the 31st and not the 1st, which I thought was appropriate since we rented on the 1st of August. So I did not change the move-out date that I have put on the website but I moved out on the 31st, per the young lady I talked to, and I still got a bill for the next month. I've used public storage before but it was not this one and had no problems.

- Overall, the facility met my expectation; very clean. Maxine was great! Very helpful. All positive as my review relates to her. My only issue is the hired help that sat at the desk with no personality, interpersonal or people skills. He lacked professionalism...pants hanging down with his butt cheeks showing. Screen the hired help better and make sure they have customer service skills. I would not have hired him.
