- Diane made our whole experience there absolutely wonderful. She was SO informative and helpful. My fiancé and I are new to the area and she made us feel so welcome. She walked us to our unit, showed us the size and made sure that it was to our needs and she answered all of the questions we had as to what would and wouldn't fit inside of it. She also made sure we had everything we need to move our things into the unit, such as boxes, mattress and couch covers etc. We left in a great mood and we feel extremely confident we picked the right place to store our belongings. - The customer service was excellent. I have no complaint with that. My problem is that Public Storage advertises on a very large sign in front of the building that there is only a $1.00 charge for the first month but that is only on certain units. There is also an ad online of $15. off "selected" units. Of course, mine was not a selected unit. The charge was quoted on the phone as $60. plus a one time administrative fee of $22. but they do not mention that you have to also purchase insurance when you get there and that charge is monthly. I do not like this way of doing business, hiding charges until you are already invested in securing a unit. I got the unit because there weren't many others in my community but I have a bad taste in my mouth.
