- I went to Windsor Cube Storage and thought, well..I'll store my items, buy a lock and that's it..I left the facility and received a call that I had not locked my unit. The staff checks each unit daily fora block and a security measure in each lock. I feel safe and there really isn't a price for safety.

- I looked up storage units in my area. Extra space had a size I wanted for a great price. The place is clean . Spotless well lit . Kept very nice . Not ashamed to have my stuff there the place is very nice and clean . I was having a bad breakup. And I need to put my stuff safely away were I knew it was safe for my piece of mind. Extra space had that for me. I had a problem with the lock keys being stollen and they replaced them for me and the lock. That is great customer service. Great communication to with text messages .

- We moved items in on Monday 5/13 and the lift was not working. This made things very difficult as we had to carry everything up 2 flights of stairs. That was very frustrating!! Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Simsbury, Connecticut is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Connecticut, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Simsbury, Connecticut.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Simsbury, Connecticut?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Simsbury?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Storage units near Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center or the Farmington River Trail are often in high demand because of their location. This convenience can lead to higher rental rates, especially during busy event or recreation seasons. If you're looking for more affordable options, check storage facilities farther from the town center or along Route 10, where lower demand usually means cheaper pricing.
For regular commuters on Route 315 or the Simsbury-Bloomfield corridor, choosing storage units along these routes can save time and reduce fuel costs. Look for facilities with extended or 24/7 access if your schedule involves early mornings or late nights.
Simsbury is popular with outdoor enthusiasts due to attractions like the Farmington River and Talcott Mountain State Park. Local storage units are great for keeping gear like kayaks, bikes, and camping equipment. Some units are designed specifically for outdoor equipment, with features like wall racks for kayaks or climate control to protect items from extreme temperatures. Many also offer drive-up access, making it easy to load and unload heavy or bulky gear.
