- I’ll tell you what frustrates me and makes me give this place a mediocre rating. The facility is fine however that little office on site has no one in it. The lights on and no one‘s there. When you sign up for a space, they provide you a lock and charge you $50. You can return it but there’s no one to open the door and take the lock back and give you a refund. It’s nearly impossible. I want a refund on my lock because I have a lock of my own. This is an issue

- I signed the contract lease and received a business card with my gate access information card. They said you can enjoy 24/7 access. This is a big lie. The place closes at 5 pm on weekends. Last Sunday I did have a terrible experience with a rude and lack of customer service from a male employee who was working by 4:50 pm at the Public Storage, 300 Treat Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110 4:50 pm. He should be fired. I'm going to release my storage asap. I can't accept any business that supports this kinda behavior. I'm very disappointed with Public Storage.

- I had a great time visiting this Extra Space Storage for the first time. The staff were hilarious and very welcoming. I felt like a part of the family almost immediately. The storage unit itself was clean and the door worked smoothly and closed properly. I also like the app. Itテ「竄ャ邃「s really convenient to be able to get the gate code or pay my bill that way, rather than having to go in or sign in every time I go to their website.
The two things I donテ「竄ャ邃「t really care for are as follows; Iテ「竄ャ邃「m not a fan of the gate locking us in at 10:00pm (at least thatテ「竄ャ邃「s what we were told), it makes for a very stressful time trying to get unloaded when you feel like an axe is hanging over your head. Next is the cost of the insurance on the unit. My unit costs about $45.00/month, but the insurance is around $35.00/month. Itテ「竄ャ邃「s nearly the same price as the entire unit! Too pricey for sure.

- Edited now that I'm not being pressured to deliver a perfect review.
Considering you can't expect much in the way of customer service from a storage place, the staff was a little better than okay, but the quickly rising cost of rent made me leave.
First floor units get wet during hard rainfall.
3 stars for service, 2 stars for keeping my stuff dry.
PROTIP: Need a dolly? Don't don't bother giving them your ID.
Half the time they're not even in the office.
One of the yellow dollies has a loose bolt, all you have to do is lift up the handle and the dolly is yours.
Also: the lady behind the counter was twice as helpful when the tall guy that pressured me to make this review from corporate was behind her.
PROTIP 2: Come in when corporate is around.

- Rented a unit in SF at the Evans St location and could not be happier! The facility is incredibly clean and kept in excellent repair, it is climate controlled, and most conveniently, most of the units are on the main floor so access is quick and easy. The woman Anna managing the desk and contracts as well as the gentleman assisting her were delightful as well as helpful. I would not even consider going elsewhere!

We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Sausalito, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Sausalito, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Sausalito?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
