- Not terrible, but here’s my issues:
1. Getting a hold of someone at the office, whether in person or on the phone is damn near impossible. When I call, no one seems to be there and same when we go in person. Makes resolving issues difficult, especially since there seems to be so many and we’ve had the unit less than a week.
2. Issues with the gate not working. It seems fine going in, but not coming out (you’d think it’d be the opposite). Twice now, we’ve had to get OUT of our car, walk to a side door on the gate, go back to the front entry panel, enter our code so the gate will open, run back to get in our car and drive out of the gate. Annoying.
4. Different price quotes. When we got the place we decided to go with a bigger unit than we intended; naturally it’s going to cost more, no big deal. My issue is that the monthly price listed online (and sent to my email after reserving the unit) said $68/month, but they told me in person for some “unknown” reason the system wasn’t going to let them book that price so instead it would be $80/month. Not toooo much of a price difference, but yet again, ANOTHER annoyance.
3. Lock issue. We weren’t told what type of lock we had to buy for our unit. We were told we could either buy a lock from them for $20 or bring our own. That was it. So naturally we brought our own padlock. Nice, sturdy padlock. It wasn’t until a couple days later were we called and told “that lock doesn’t meet our requirements, you need to change it within 24 hrs.” If there’s some standard requirement, we should have been told that from the beginning. Before we went and spent $10 on a lock that we can’t use, just to have to turn around and spend another $20 on one that “meets their standards.”
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. You can find storage places with less annoyances for the same price (or better). If we hadn’t moved our stuff in I’d pick another place. I’m glad we only need it for a few months.

- I have a service dog. Fortunately, the staff that assisted me was A. She not only assisted in quickly going through the paperwork but warned me of the rat poison when the unit's door was opened. There were all sorts of trash on the floor along with the rat poison. I will clean it up. Other than that it is a typical storage facility. Did I mention the price was good.

- I am finding different rates posted in different places online. I signed up for one rate and when I got there, it was higher but I was assured it would be adjusted to reflect what I signed up for. I received a bill for the higher amount and now have to go in and deal with this issue. Other than that, I have no complaints. The place is clean and hopefully secure, considering the neighborhood.

- I have only been to the unit twice and both times it was hotter than 80. The first time it was around 90. My car read 84 and it was hotter on the 3rd floor, about 90. I have since put a thermometer in my unit. It was 82, which was the same as the outside temperature. This is supposed to be a climate controlled unit kept at 80 degrees or less. Also, the first night I was there someone had urinated in the elevator. I also saw a homeless person with dirty tattered clothes trying to sneak out. He must've stuck in somehow. When I was there Thursday, the door to go out did not work. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get another unit, but unless some serious changes are made, I will be removing my items once I move into my new apartment.

- I am so glad and pleased to know that I can rely on Public Storage having comfort to know my belongings are safe and protected. The staff are amazing besides their welcoming friendliness they have professional knowledge to inform me of what I need to store my belongings. And at times upon my arrival the place is immaculate and clean the storage rooms have a refreshing smell so wonderful I would recommend this to anyone I know friends family and co-workers.
Now I have used other competitive storage company but, they are not like PS. Thank you public storage for doing such an outstanding job "totally" greatful.

- I'm a student so I this was my first time experience and don't know much about prices and location . One thing I would really recommend: Tell your new customers that they will need a lock , this way they come prepared and don't have to pay an extra $21 .

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Rio Linda, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Rio Linda, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Rio Linda, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Rio Linda?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
