- When Prime took over this location, I spoke with a person in the office to update payment preference. I was told that there would be no major price increases. This turned out to be a lie, as the price has increased at least twice, and significantly. We are now actively looking for alternate storage solutions for more appropriate cost. I do not recommend this location or company

- This is a new facility, and right now there are some bargains to be had since storage in Phoenix seems pretty overpriced to begin with. The managers were helpful, but there are not enough carts for the amount of units for moving your stuff in and out especially at the first of the month. Also, not really easy to get into and out of if you have a rental truck or anything larger than a car to transport your items. Is very clean though, and a large facility.

- not awful, but not great. the units are fine and the price is decent, but the customer service side leaves a lot to be desited. they never answer the phone, they're always out of the office when you need something, they're gone much longer than the sign on the door ever indicates. I had to wait 40 minutes for someone once, it's a little ridiculous. also they don't honor their word. I was guaranteed a price and then the unit they were going to give me was still occupied by a precious tenant. they said to come back in two days and they would give me the original price. I did. they didn't. so I took my business elsewhere.

- The storage facility is fine, but it is not what we expected to pay. Besides "hidden fees," the original price was allegedly only a promotion price for 5 months. And then, we were told, it would go up significantly. This was all very inconvenient as we had to go forward that day and couldn't take time to comparison price at that point.

- There was a mix up upon check in locating our reservation utilizing my co-worker's name (she had reserved the unit online under my name) and finding the unit in person under my name. That was the only frustrating part of the experience. Other than that, everything went well and the app at this location makes access to the spot a breeze.

- I must say it was hard for me to find my storage unit by its number. My phone was out of power and it was after business hours. Confusing as it may be, one time I took a different elevator down then I took up. I hurried out the door to discover I had entered the back yard parking lot complete with 15 foot gate and fence all around. I tell you though I am starting to be happy about it, my storage. The facility is centrally located. This public Storage is lit up brightly with florescent lights. I like that. My 5x5 unit has a tall ceiling. Wow could I pile stuff up there. also I am impressed by the roll down security door and the hardened lock I purchased. I still have to write down the entry door code for easy access, but it is a perk on the way. I have learned a bit the hard way, but soon I should enjoy my chore of going to the storage. I have a dull life. I easily fit all my clothes and some gear and will probably add a bicycle at some point. I have talked to a rep from their company, on the phone and in person at the office downstairs. this was my choice, as it may all be down automatically online or through the app. I found the staff friendly, helpful, and reassuring.

- Upon nearly completing move in, district manager Clarissa tells me that Extra Space no longer wants me as a customer. So after I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on moving trucks, deposits, moving help etc., Extra Space decided that they no longer wanted me as a client and that I would have to move my things elsewhere. They said that they would refund my money for the units, however that does not include the cost of the truck I had to rent for several days and the cost of the help I hired. I am a small business owner and have been building, refurbishing bicycles for years. I had an excellent customer service relationship with the manager of the store I was at on Southern in Tempe. Out of nowhere Alex, the manager, was transferred to a different Extra Space and suddenly I started getting harassed by assistant/interim managers saying that I could only be on the property for an hour. I wanted to continue to enjoy the benefits of the long standing working relationship that I had with Extra Space, so I decided to move to this different location thinking things would be as good as they were before, back to normal. I was so wrong! I spent hundreds of dollars on the move, the help, the packing materials, etc , just to be told before I completed the move of my 10x10 and my 12x25 that I was no ,longer welcome at Extra Space. They said they'd reimburse the money for the units, but obviously that did not include the funds for the truck, my time, the help I received, or the packing materials I've had to use as a result. For years I've had nothing but positive things to say about Extra Space, this ridiculous situation has been hurtful beyond explanation. There is no reason to cause such problems for a customer who has done nothing wrong and is working on getting his business off the ground for the first time. When I asked the district manager, Clarissa, for an explanation/proof regarding any violation she was unable to do so.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Phoenix, Arizona is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Arizona, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Phoenix, Arizona.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions.
