- I discovered my roommate/landlady at 3:45am on July 27, 2024 when I woke up to use the restroom. I was a paramedic for 20 years & took one look at her & called 911. Long story short, she was a type 2 diabetic, insulin-dependent that hadn’t been taking care of herself for about a week because of things I won’t mention. At the ER, her blood glucose was 760. She spent 23 days in ICU & miraculously survived. However, it caused some brain swelling & damage. I stayed there taking care of her house & dogs. The family had to put the house on the market.
