- Had the cheapest option in the area for a 4x10 unit, which is enough space to store a twin size mattress, a boxspring, an Ikea Hemnes daybed, and then some. My unit is on the second floor. There is no elevator, so best bring a friend to help you get heavy stuff up the stairs. It is also not climate controlled and there is a bit of a smell so you'll probably want to bag your stuff up well and/or air out the unit regularly.

- Had started at another storage place that sprung an insurance fee ($12/mo) on me at sign-up. I deferred and kept looking, calling UBs and eventually renting a larger, humidity controlled unit for less than the smaller, no humidity control at the first place. UBs also needed insurance, but was willing to let me bring in a copy of my homeowners policy to satisfy requirement. Good clean facility and easy, nice people to work with. Happy we chose it.

- The leasing process with SpareFoot was easy, the location is excellent and the on-site manager is very attentive…but she could not do anything about the fact the lights inside the units do not work! There are fluorescent lights in the hallways, but the ceiling lights in the units are there but don’t work.? If it didn’t have all the other pros, I would’ve given a low rating.

- Don't have any complaints about this storage center... it's nice and close to a bikeshare rack, the customer service is very attentive and helpful, and the freedom of access definitely beats ExtraSpace on U St. I just wish they didnt hike the fee on a regular basis, which does little but ensure i'll be motivated to get out as soon as possible.
